"The angel said to her, “Don't be afraid, Mary; God has been gracious to you. You will become pregnant and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus." (Luke 1:30-31).
The Angelus is a Catholic prayer to commemorate the Incarnation of the Word of God in Jesus Christ. The name "Angelus" (the Latin word for "angel") is derived from the first word of the Latin text: "Angelus Domini nuntiavit Mariæ" (The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary). The devotion is practised by reciting - as versicle and response - three biblical verses narrating the mystery of the Incarnation and, alternating with the "Hail Mary" prayer. This post throws more light on the mystery of the Incarnation, to show that the Angelus can fulfill God's promise to individual devotees, just as it does to the whole church. You will Know the truth and the truth will set you free (John 8 :32).

INCARNATION - WORD + SPIRIT +MARY |
ORIGIN
Before the year 1000, there was a lay religious custom in Catholic countries, of reciting three Hail Marys in the evening to honor the Virgin Mary in her singular and exalted role as the Mother of God. This was done at the same time, and as the bell rang, when religious in the monasteries chanted the Compline of the Divine Office.
Across the years the practice was extended to include a recitation in the morning and another at noon. Later on holy details from the scene of the Annunciation - during which moment the Incarnation took place - were inserted before and after the Hail Marys. And then a closing prayer was added
Finally, the devotion became tradition in the Roman Catholic Church, and practiced in churches, monasteries, convents, and by the faithful, three times a day - in the morning, at noon and in the evening. The Angelus is also practiced by some Anglican, Western Rite Orthodox, and Lutheran churches.
METHOD
In its current practice the Angelus is recited three times a day - precisely, at: 6:00 a.m, 12 noon, and 6:00 p.m. It may be said privately, but whenever recited with others, one person leads it by saying aloud the verses and the first half of the Hail Mary -that is, until “blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.” Then the others make the responses and say the second part of the Hail Mary. And all Join, in saying the closing prayer.
The Angelus is usually accompanied by the ringing of the Angelus bell, which is a call to prayer and to spread goodwill to everyone. Also, for the sake of uniformity, where the faithful are not gathered in one place, the traditional practice is by saying the Angelus to the stroke of a bell - three rings for each verse, response, and Hail Mary; then nine more throughout the final prayer. This makes eighteen strokes in all.
PRAYER
The Angelus Prayer
V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee; Blessed art thou among women, And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen
V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R. Be it done unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary. . ....
V. And the Word was made flesh.
R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary. . .
V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Note: the angel referred to in the prayer is Gabriel, a messenger of God who revealed to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive a child to be born the Son of God (Luke 1:26–38).
INCARNATION
"The Word became a human being and, full of grace and truth, lived among us. We saw his glory, the glory which he received as the Father's only Son." (John 1:14)
The Angélus is one of the shortest and most simple prayers -- It takes only about 2-3 minutes to pray. But it is, probably, the most mystical prayer of the Church. It operates a spiritual performance which transcends every human understanding: The operation of the Angelus in the realization of the Incarnation of God is a mystery.
To say it is to replay the drama of the Annunciation once more, placing it vividly before our eyes and within our hearts. So we can receive the graces of the Incarnation through the merits, both of Christ's death on Cross and his resurrection from the dead. For through the Angelus the "Word is made flesh" in us- that is, "God dwells in us". We become the manifestation of God's glory."For with God all things are possible" (Mark 10:27) - when we believe in him and submit to his will.

APPLICATION
The Angelus is a simple but powerful prayer - to accomplish the Incarnation of the Word of God. So one can use the format of the Angelus to pray and quickly receive the manifestations of God's promises. The three pillars and actors in the incarnation of the Word of God and manifestation of God's promises are (1) the Word of God (2) the Holy Spirit and (3) the Virgin Mary.
The Virgin Mary by the merits of her divine maternity and Intercessor acts as a "step-down transformer" of the Word of God from its essence in the "high voltage" of the Holy Spirit, to become (manifest) its substance in the "low voltage" of the human being. So you can formulate your Angelus to realize God's promises to you, your family, the church and humanity - in accordance with the Holy Scriptures.
Follow these steps to formulate your "Angelus" : (1:) proclaim the Word of God (2) accept the promise of God contained in his Word. (3:) profess the Incarnation of the Word of God. .
Private Angelus Prayer
V. The Word of God speaks onto me (quote the scripture).
R. And through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I conceive by the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary,........
V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R. Be it done unto me according to thy word.
Hail Mary. . ....
V. And the Word is made incarnate.
R. And dwells in me.
Hail Mary. . .
V. Pray for me, O holy Mother of God.
R. That I may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: Pour forth, I beseech you , O Lord, your grace into my life, that I to whom the promise (mention your intention) was made known by the message of God in (quote scripture) may by the Incarnation of the Word, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, be fulfilled in your promises; through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.
Note: Your private Angelus should not replace the official Angelus. You may pray your own Angelus, every time, after praying the official Angelus. Please, send us your testimonies of healins, success, deliverance, and other blessings - to share for others to believe and for the glory of God. May you remain blessed as you read, pray and share your Angelus, Amen.
